On 11 and 16 December 2025, Jacobacci Avvocati will be participating in the SpeedTech programme, an initiative promoted by 28Digital in collaboration with MIA Lombardia – European Digital Innovation Hub, in two workshops dedicated to industrial property and collaborations with the world of research. Applications for the programme are open until 20 November 2025.

Free for selected start-ups and SMEs, the programme aims to support companies in accelerating their technological development through collaboration with universities and research centres. It combines theoretical training, mentoring and practical case studies.

The Firm is involved in two workshops as part of the training programme. These are held by our partner Luca Ghedina and Valerio Verdecchia, Italian and European patent attorneys of Jacobacci & Partners.

  • 11 December 2025 – Building Long-term Partnerships for Research and IP
    A detailed exploration of strategies for establishing long-term collaborations between businesses and academia, with a focus on leveraging intellectual property as a catalyst for shared innovation.

  • 16 December 2025 – How to Structure IP and Research Agreements with Universities
    A meeting to be held to demonstrate how to effectively structure intellectual property and research agreements with universities. The aim is to protect rights and maximise the value of the results of the collaboration.

SpeedTech is an intensive six-week programme (from 25 November 2025 to January 2026) that helps start-ups and SMEs transform business challenges into growth opportunities by adopting an Open Innovation approach and harnessing the potential of advanced research.

Through online lessons, mentoring and interaction with industry experts, participants will learn how to map their innovation needs, identify suitable academic partners and manage co-development projects, with the support of practical tools for managing intellectual property and collaboration agreements.
