Justin Righettini is Of Counsel in the Madrid office. He focuses his practice on intellectual property, entertainment, and technology matters, with a special emphasis on copyright. Justin's experience is characterized by sophisticated work and significant wins on behalf of a wide range of clients, including Grammy Award-winning music artists, major music publishers, film production companies, media companies, online service providers, and technology companies. His work has led to multimillion-dollar recoveries, substantial awards of attorney’s fees, the complete avoidance of millions of dollars in exposure, and a portion of the U.S. Copyright Act being held unconstitutional. He has studied and practiced law for extended periods on both sides of the Atlantic and has rarified experience in US-EU cross-border litigations concerning intellectual property. Finally, and as a classically trained guitarist and longtime musician, Justin is particularly adept in music matters, especially when music plagiarism claims are involved.
