Our partner, Diane de Valbray, and senior associate, Stefano Vergano, will be attending the oriGIn 2026 Expert Meeting in Geneva on 18 and 19 June. This year's theme is 'Geographical Indications as a Pillar for Multilateral Cooperation'.
The programme is divided into four sessions, covering legal aspects, technology, promotion and sustainability. Stefano will be among the speakers and will focus his presentation on the protection of geographical indications containing non-geographical names, highlighting recent case law and future perspectives.
The oriGIn Expert Meeting brings together representatives of Geographical Indications (GIs) producers’ groups, policymakers, law and technology firms, intellectual property offices, marketing agencies, universities and control bodies from around the world. It offers a unique platform for high-level discussions, networking and collaboration.
